Stock enthusiasts are always trying to keep up with the state of their investments and in order to do this; they require a comprehensive platform with all the relevant data displayed in a easy-to-comprehend manner. However, investors are not the only ones interested in keeping up with stock market developments, companies need to keep track of how their stock is doing in different markets all over the world. In order to effectively display the data associated with these stocks, one need to be able to visualize this data and that is where financial charting comes into the picture.

We can look at financial charts from two angles, the first from the angle of a company which is listed and the second from that of an investor. The first chart is easy to create. We begin by color coding each stock and providing the actual names in the legend box. Then we keep the month, week or daily count on the X-axis and the prices on the Y-axis then we can plot a color-coded line chart which illustrates the fluctuation in the price of the stock and a drill-down option can be included to read information such as highest price stock on that day and which market has registered the highest stock price on that given day or month. these charts makes the job of tracking a lot easier and in addition, these charts are disarmingly simple to understand and perfect even for the layman with no technical knowledge at all.

When we look at financial charts from a company’s perspective, we find that executives are interested in tracking their stocks as the prices rise and fall in markets all over the world. This chart is also a line chart and each of the markets can be color-coded to produce a differently colored streak when plotted. The X-axis can be made to illustrate the time period and the Y-axis can be used to plot the prices. Once that is done then a set of differently colored streaks will illustrate the condition of the company’s stock in markets around the world. A number of conclusions can be reached from studying such a map. Primary, of course, is how your stock is doing in different parts of the world but in addition to this we can also read, through drill-down options, the strongest stock in that market or even the highest and lowest price of your stock in a day or week from which the average figure has been drawn.

Financial charts make the process of stock analysis easier and visually pleasant. In addition these charts save one the large amount of time that would have otherwise been spent studying a series of numbers. Based on a Flash platform, these animated charts require no expertise to create and most of the software available in the market has GUI versions to aid the non-programmers.
